Law of Attraction Fact or Fiction?
I wholeheartedly believe in the law of attraction. Point yourself in the direction you want to go. One summer day in, driving my car, I was listening to the Secret on cd. While stopped waiting for the light to change, the speaker droned on about visualizing and revving the engine of your favorite car. It took me back to the Mercedes Benz SL Sports coupe convertible that I loved as a kid. I revved it smiling at the thought of driving it. Later that day we were sitting on the porch when friends pulled up for a visit. We admired their new car. Interested, I inquired about the make and he threw me the keys. “Take it for a spin,” he said. Within a few short hours of revving my fictitious Mercedes Benz convertible, I was physically driving one. I’ll never forget how surreal it felt. It was almost creepy.
I learned to always ask for what I want. I stopped focusing on the things I didn’t want and changed my focus to “So what do I want”. Now, I deliberately ask the universe for what I want. I always envision my golf ball landing on the green instead of in the water. I give thanks for abundance.
I always focus on the outcome I want instead of what I don’t want. I admit, there have been occasions when I ask for the other team to miss their shot. Nine times out of ten, they do.
